A Magical Menu for Easter Sunday

My son and daughter in law were able to get together with me yesterday, for the first time in a couple of months. It was great to spend time and catch up with them, cooking and laughing our time away. Went all out with a French-Italian vegetarian menu…it was so much fun creating. Took me back to my restaurant days. Only yesterday we sipped a nice California Sauvignon Blanc as we cooked! Of course, you know everything was gluten free 🙂 Lighting was not the most ideal when we were sitting down to eat, but I hope you enjoy the photos anyway!

Carrot and Tarragon Vichyssoise
Spring Pea, Fennel and Orange Soup with Honey White Pepper Whipped Cream
Golden Beet and Roast Red Pepper Fritters with Basil Pesto, Balsamic Reduction and Garden Spinach
Cauliflower Picatta with Cacio e Pepe
Fresh Raspberry Crepe Torta with Lemon Whipped Cream

Yum! Deliciousness with every bite. All the recipes were new adventures! Those recipes may come later…. I used my favorite GF crepe recipe for the raspberry crepe torta. How we loved the golden beet fritters – oh! …The spicy cacio e pepe (my son’s great pick!) plated with roast cauliflower picatta… and, the two toned soup bowls, perfect colors and flavors for the day.

And now

for a little subtle self-promotion
